Did someone say nutella coffee? @ Bruschetteria 102, Surry Hills
I recently tried another fun new breakfast/ coffee place in Surry Hills, Bruschetteria 102 on Albion St. As you walk in to Bruschetteria, you feel right at home, with the country-style wooden mismatched tables, stripe coloured walls, and old antique prints and paintings hanging on the wall. The very Italian waiter, Luca, greets us with a very welcoming smile, and explains the menu to us. As the name of the place suggests, the menu comprises of a range of bruschettas covered with a variety of interesting ingredients.
I tried for the Alpina, a lovely combination of parma prosciutto, Italian cheese, pears & walnuts $16.50. (Loved the combination of salty prosciutto & cheese with the sweet crisp pears & walnuts
We also tried the Uovo e salmone, scrambled eggs and smoked salmon $14.50. Very fluffy scrambled eggs served with smoked salmon mmm!
And finally, the original margherita, Italian tomato sauce, mozzarella & fresh basil leaves $12.50.

All the bruschettas we tasted were made in typical Italian style – with simple & fresh ingredients, beautifully combined.
The highlight of my breakfast though, was my cappuccino with nutella coffee. A nice strong cappuccino with creamy chocolate- nutty nutella flavours.
That was so good I had to order another one takeaway! (Served in a cute red & white candy striped cup). Apparently they also serve a mean nutella hot chocolate.
Bruchetteria also opens in the evenings, on Friday nights they serve free buffet with aperitivos (drinks) from 6 pm. Must check it out next time!
