J’adorais LOVES London Fashion week, and lucky for us, my wonderful, stylish fashionista sister is bringing LFW to us! (Watch out for many more posts from London to come! ;))
I was lucky enough to get my very first LFW invitation and attend the Elisa Palomino A/W 2012 fashion show at the Vauxhall Freemason’s Hall.
Elisa graduated from Central St Martins and has worked in the Fashion Houses of Moschino, Roberto Cavalli and Christian Dior Haute Couture. In 2010 she launched her own collection which has always been very feminine and theatrical. Her A/W 2012 range was no exception.
Exuberantly coloured dresses were gracefully showcased down the catwalk to opera by models with fluoro pink or purple pin curl wigs, beautiful headpieces, strong black eyebrows and bright lipstick.
The fabrics to me were incredible: bright flower printed velvet and feather like flower printed fabric – the large flowers for her autumn/winter collection exuded boldness and extravagance.
Each dress was bold in its colour and fabric, yet had a 1920s couture elegance.
I absolutely love that purple dress! Would love to wear that somewhere…maybe grocery shopping? Or perhaps a grand ball? Decisions, decisions haha! Sounds like it was an amazing show xx
I agree!! Such beautiful extravagance.. if only I had some fabulous occasion to wear them! 😉 And those head pieces?! They would be fun for a day at the races! xx
