Earlier this week I had the pleasure of meeting three prominent rising international designers, Ayaka Ichikawa (Japanese), Chrystal Tsoi (HK Chinese) and Winson Tan (Malaysian) in person and had a private viewing of their beautiful collections – a sneak peak before they hit the runway for Mercedes Benz Fashion week this Friday morning. I enjoyed meeting each of the designers in person, seeing each of their pieces and the carefully handcrafted detail, and their inspiration for the collection. This morning I had the pleasure seeing their designs showcased at the Raffles fashion show as part of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.

Winson’s SS13 collection featured some amazing, playful designs and beautiful floral prints. Winson collaborated with a bold print artist Vivian Lee, the resulting vision is floral kaleidoscope compliemented with brilliant amphibian markings.
Models wore elaborate & bold tropical headpieces and butterfly neckpieces..
Winson also designs some striking shoes, with the beautiful prints and carved wooden heels
This is a beautiful piece.. a modern version of the traditional cheongsam.. beautiful silk overlay…very “in the mood for love” 😉
Winson loved using the flowy fabrics and adding a cape-like effect to some of his designs.. this was very unique with the flowy ‘harem’ cuff pants giving it a bit of a playful “alibaba” look! 😉
I loved his use of prints, and the subtle asian influences in his design – watch out for this label, NOSNIM – we’re hoping Winson will be one of the designers to sell his unique & beautiful designs on J’adorais (www.jadorais.com) when we launch!
