It’s amazing the happy feeling you get from a good shopping spree.. 🙂 It’s been quite a contrast for me going from working at Burberry and having regular ‘shopping sprees’ (with all the temptation of the Burberry discounts and sample sales every few months) to becoming a lady of leisure for the last two years, where I was very ‘sensible’ on all purchases I made..
Well, after being back to the workforce and being very busy working two very hard months I finally rewarded myself with a girly shopping day on the weekend (because I’m worth it ;)!
The day started with a lovely ladies lunch – Yum Cha at Sky Phoenix in Westfield on Pitt St Mall (they do a great yum cha 😉 with two of my good old shopping buddies followed by a successful shopping spree in Pitt St Mall. I was very happy with the outcome..
I bought this beautiful lambs leather jacket from the brand COOP (which I believe is a NYC Barney’s brand) – the leather is butter soft, a very funky cut, and although I do have a few nice Burberry leather jackets, I can see this is very versatile – I’ll be able to wear to work and casually – ♥ it!! (it’s also got a detachable inner vest – I love a garment that has multiple ways of wearing it)
I also bought a gorgeous silk grey dress from my favourite Australian Brand, Willow – it’s got a beautiful draping on the front and can be worn back to front (another outfit with several different options for wearing – versatility is key! 🙂
Finally, I got some very handy comfy tan colour ballet flats from Witchery 🙂
I’m feeling very happy with my purchases – I can’t wait to wear them! 🙂
What about you, any shopping confessions you’d like to share?
Very nice jacket! I love it when you can zip off some of it… especially good for places like London and Melbs where there’s four seasons in one day!
