A gem of a market in my favourite Paris area, the Marais, is Le Marché des Enfants Rouges (The Market of the Red Children). The market has the most wonderful little food stalls, one the favourites has to be the Traiteur Morocan, with delicious spices and melt in your mouth lamb.
(Don’t you just love the vibrant green of her head scarfe? Contrasts beautifully with the red tagines!)
For dessert you must head to the creperie, with the funniest Creperie Master Alain, who loves taking his time making your crepe whilst drinking his vin rouge (red wine). My favourite crepe has to be the classic lemon and sugar…mmmm…. but he also does delicious savoury crepes, called a galette and are made out of buckwheat flour – he puts the freshest salads and ham and cheese!
The market has gorgeous little tables if you’re lucky enough to nab one. If not, right opposite the market there is a cute little park for you to enjoy the Parisian sun!
