I used to love love love Sass & Bide in my younger years. When they came out about 10 years ago, they were the “it” label for the fashionistas like Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton (eeks… not a good fashion icon I know), and after a few years I felt like they had left their designs slip a little into the more mainstream and a bit tacky. When I found out I nabbed myself some tickets to the show on the opening night of London Fashion Week, I was still pretty excited to see the Sydney duo!
I was thoroughly blown away by the beautiful tailoring, beading and detailing and a monochrome and neon colour palette that made this Aussie label stand on par with the London designers. It was a much more refined, grown up but still young collection.
The Sydney duo still do bring in the fashionistas with the front row including Pixie Geldoff and Poppy Delevigne and on the runway London “it” models Cara Delevigne and Jourdan Dunn.
Last Thursday I had a wonderful night at Fashion Night Out, and yes there was champagne and hors d’oeuvre, free manicure and music, but the main attraction was fashion and oh was it good!
At the Kenzo store there were some incredible fashionistas!
I absolutely loved his forest green pussy cat jumper and the LV collar… the incredible Mulberry bag… but on his feet were the beautiful Louboutin studded slippers!
Clashy floral prints, Jas MB neon bag, black leather and electro blue nails… yes yes yes!
One for the wishlist… Kenzo bag with block colours and chain strap… pweety please!
I know I said I’d be sharing some snaps from Fashion Night out, but before I do that… I want to share the cutest little fashionista in New York City, Aila Wang, the little niece of the Alexander Wang. She is undeniably the best little model for Alexander Wang!
Sporting the sporty sneaker trend and dressing up the outfit with a the little Chanel purse, and of course a classic LBD!
Hoping the fur is fake, but the oversized look on her is just too cute for words!
The mini-Alexander Wang bag is just gorgeous!
Oh, yes, and the Alexander Wang’s SS 13 collection was beautiful, clean and tough as ever. Palette of black, white and metallic and lots of cut-out leather and stiff fabrics.
My first Fashion Night Out was absolutely incredible! So many shops with different events, so much champagne, so little time, being in Britain of course there were lots of queues… and of course fashion fashion fashion! Leading up to Fashion … Continue reading
Socialising with friends… and fashion! My favourite combination!
For the last three years, in cities all around the world fashionistas unite and celebrate a bit of fashion at their favourite stores.
In London each store is hosting different events and parties offering drinks, music and goodies!
Tonight I’ll be roaming the streets of Mayfair with my friend H and L, hopping from store to store… for Simpsons fans I’ll be like Homer when he’s in the world made of chocolate (also an absolute dream of mine)! I can’t wait to finish work! I’ll try to share some pics!
Which parties will you be going to?
