Sample sales. You either love them or hate them. Sifting through the racks of clothes, piling your picks on your arm (aka weights workout)… and the bliss when that gorgeous dress fits perfectly! I am definitely a lover of the sample sales. Living in London and having all the most amazing designers here, there is fashion week… and then there is sample sale season!
Last week, Alexander McQueen had their sample sale.
I somehow found this gem of a coat, from their current A/W 12/13 show, where they literally having an enchanted forest as their catwalk. This beautiful embossed army green leather coat appeared waisted with a beautiful belt (that I’m now in the search for), and has the most amazing cut with an accentuated hip cut that is oh so McQueen.
Always walking around in London, I am always on the search for cool statement flat boots, and these little McQ beauties are oh so cool! The beautiful brushed leather, buckles, calf length and thick soles were everything I wanted in a boot (and didn’t know it until I saw it).
Lastly, I have been after a super thin wallet to use when I have those teeny tiny clutches that don’t fit much more than money, lipstick and phone. This is a beautiful patent silver with beautiful big “buttons/silverware” to fit my essentials and keep them neat and safe.
The beauty of a successful sample sale session, is the bliss that it gives you… and the joy of wearing the finds each time!
