Apologies for the hiatus from posting, but the last three months have been so crazy with birthday trips, work, work… Award shows and Christmas madness and suddenly its 2013!!! Happy New Year!!!
I’ve been wanting to go see the Tim Walker Story Teller exhibition since it opened back in October last year, and with the closing date of 27 January looming I finally managed to go last weekend.
Tim Walker is a fashion photographer like no other. He transports you into another world and makes you forget the dreary wintery world around and really draws you into his beautiful magical world.
If you’ve been amazed by an extravagant beautiful picture in Vogue, whether it be British, French, American and Italian Vogue, it must have been TIm Walker’s.
The exhibition not only takes you through some of his amazing theatrical dreamlike works, the beautiful raw portraits such as Alexander McQueen and Tilda Swinton but the most amazing beautiful props produced for the photoshoots.
The best part of the exhibition had to be to actually see the props in real life, these props take you that little further into the magical Walker world, my favourites being the giant grotesque dolls for Italian Vogue, an almost life-size replica of a doomed Spitfire fighter plane and also the beautiful swan lake.
If you can’t get to the exhibition, enjoy the little sneak pics below!
