I love the way the digital world connects people. Over the last few years I have met a number of great fashion designers, artists, fashion illustrators, photographers, bloggers, social media marketing and advertisers, both in person and virtually, locally and throughout the world. All these connections were made through the ‘power’ of social media.
The latest e-meet resulted in a collaboration with UK based online website http://www.boohoo.com, who contacted J’adorais to collaborate in their ‘minimal Monday’ campaign. The brief, select one wardrobe item from their online range and style it using J’adorais unique style.
As a fashion stylist I provide advice to clients on some of the ‘staple items’ required in any woman’s wardrobe. Key wardrobe staples include a casual leather jacket, a white top, a comfortable pair of jeans and pointy toe pumps. With that in mind, I had planned to pick those key items to create a casual-luxe ‘minimal Monday’ look.

I have been on the search for a casual leather moto jacket for at least a year. I was so excited to find a great leather jacket among so many great affordable pieces in Boohoo’s online store (Boohoo leather jacket AU$130). And also found a great pair of distressed boyfriend jeans (Boohoo distressed jeans AU$50), which I had also been on the search for in the last few months. Boohoo were very quick sending those items to me in Sydney from the UK.
I was so excited to try my new leather jacket & distressed jeans when they arrived in the mail. They looked great on, the moto jacket is made of genuine soft leather and the jeans are very comfortable too. I’ve actually been wearing these two items as my new wardrobe staples.
I love dressing them up in nude ballet flats (above) or converse shoes for a more casual look. For a more casual-luxe look, I’ll combine them with heels & a pop of colour, in Balenciaga fuschia pumps (below).

My ‘minimal Monday’ look has become a new staple, they’re now minimal ‘Monday to Friday’ & weekend look too :).
