It’s cocktail time @ Pocket Bar Darlinghurst

If you walk past Pocket Bar (on corner of Burton and Crown St) on any night from Thursday to the weekend there’s usually a crowd lining up outside on Crown St to get into this establishment.  There’s something about Pocket bar that keeps on drawing in the crowds.  Maybe it’s the funky but still very relaxed atmosphere as you walk into the place.

Or is it the velvet comfy retro couches, great cocktails or the very welcoming and friendly staff?

Well, Pocket is definitely one of my favourite bars in Darlinghurst, for all of the above reasons.. Funky relaxed atmosphere, very cosy, with its retro velvet lounges & dimly lit with candle lights, providing a very intimate setting, interesting graffiti artwork on the walls and old bottles and knick-knacks around the place that give it that homely feel.

They offer a very interesting cocktail menu, with their own signature cocktails & some classics.

I tried the Rose Petal Martini $18 , 42 Below Vodka, Lychees, Pineapple Juice & Rose Water.  Beautiful flavours of lychee infused with vodka, combined with the delicate flavours of rose water.

Elderflower Cup $ 45 (serves 2 – 3), Montheiths Apple Cider + St Germain Elderflower Liquor + Fresh Apple + Fresh Cucumber.

If you are feeling peckish while having drinks, they offer a menu of light bites including crepes – we saw some coming out of the kitchen that looked Deeelish!! But as we were going for dinner nearby afterwards we stuck to the lovely cocktails.

Always a great way to start or end the night in Darlinghurst..
