I LOVE summer.
Being born and raised in Brazil my body is acclimatised to the warmer weather. After living in rainy London where the summer lasts for a whole two weeks of the year and then moving to Australia, I have learnt to appreciate every sunshiny day Sydney has to offer and have gladly swapped the umbrella for a sun hat.
My perfect summer day is lying on the beach drinking fresh coconuts..

In any country of the world summer time is associated with a time to relax & enjoy the sunshine. In Brazil, summer time is the time for beach, Carnaval & any excuse to party. In London, the city transforms itself in summer, every weekend is an endless array of music festivals, Wimbledon & summer parties. And of course, which Australian do you know who doesn’t like a good summer party?
Last night I had the pleasure of attending a fabulous summer party at the IV Collective store in Paddington (www.ivcollective.com.au) to celebrate the launch of their very summery panama hats by Simon and Mary (www.simonandmary.co.za) (hats from South Africa distributed by Noir Distribution Australia) and colourful board shorts by Martos Beachwear (www.martosbeachwear.com).
Sydney summer has seen extreme tropical weather lately, with balmy hot days followed by afternoon thunderstorms, but last night’s rain did not stop the team at the IV Collective from throwing a fabulous party.
Drinking coconut, pineapple and champagne cocktails whilst perusing the latest fashion collections by Amber Sceats, MLM, Keepsake, Nobody Denim, Isaac Vivier, 5Preview, VIX Swimwear, Dogeared, Pared Eyewear (love their sunglasses range) and one my favourite designers, Coco Ribbon (this latest collection in stunning as always, with beautifully printed dresses).
