Goodbye Sunshine, Hello Autumn

It’s hard to believe that only a week ago I was lying on the beach and enjoying the sunshine in the Central Coast.  In the last few days the temperature dropped dramatically in Sydney, and I had to bring out the winter clothes that were hidden in my wardrobe for months.  I was also lucky enough to find some great new additions for the autumn season by some great Australian Fashion labels & in preparation for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week next week. 😉

If you read my previous post, leather for any weather, I mentioned my love for all the beautiful shearling looks we saw at the AW15 international runways.  And although I own a lovely shearling coat I bought in my years living in London, it’s hardly ever cold enough in Australia for it to be taken out of my wardrobe.

This week I found a gorgeous shearling look vest by Australian label Lilya and fell in love with it.  It’s lovely and soft, and not too heavy, great for this autumn season.  The vest is a great item to add to your wardrobe, it’s easy to wear and layer on any outfit.

Above, strolling in Hyde Park, wearing Lilya shearling vest, Third Millennium flared jeans, Witchery camel wedges and Cotton on t-shirt, brown leather saddle bag, Le Specs sunglasses.   The Lilya vest comes in different colours, nude & black but I loved this ‘shade of grey’ – pardon the pun (Lilya shearling vest, denim flares -similar available by Frame Denim & SportsgirlCountry Road have a lovely similar saddle bag in stores).  I’ve loved these flared jeans by Third Millenium for years, it’s so sad that this label is no longer and died with the collapse of Lisa Ho :(, but here’s one more reason to supporting our Australian designers.

We have so many great Australian labels showing at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia next week, I am so excited it starts tomorrow!

Follow me as I bring you all our favourite looks from both emerging and established Australian designers at Mercedes Benz Fashion week, as well as favourite streetstyle looks direct from Sydney’s Carriageworks.

xx J’adorais
