It’s been a great week here in Sydney, where for the last 6 days all the buzz has been the amazing collections showcased by our most talented Australian designers at Mercedes-Benz Fashion week, held in Sydney’s Carriageworks. I was so lucky that I was able to experience all the fun and excitement of fashion week with my beautiful sister Clarice (aka @brigadeirochoc), who flew over for the event. We had a jam-packed schedule, and were invited to some amazing shows, including Akira Isogawa, Tony Maticevski, Alice McCall, Strateas Carlucci, Gari Bigeni, Michael lo Sordo, Magraw, Manning Cartell, Jayson Brunsdon, Kate Sylvester, Haryono Setiadi, Watson x Watson and many more.

One of the week’s highlights was watching one of our favourite established Australian designers, Akira Isogawa’s, 20 year retrospective collection.
Above: Some of the beautiful pieces at Akira Isogawa’s 20 year retrospective show. (please excuse the picture quality of the photos taken on my iphone). We were happy to be seated on the front row too ;), where we were able to see the beautiful detailing of each garment (intricate beading & all the layers of the lace and embroidery) up close.

Another highlight of the week, meeting the beautiful & talented Australian Fashion Illustrator, Kerrie Hess.

We were also lucky enough to meet some amazing designers behind the beautiful creations, I love getting to know the designers and getting insights on the inspirations for their collections.

Well, I still haven’t had a chance to go through all the pics from Fashion Week, but thought I’d share you a small taster of all the fun fashion I will be sharing from the catwalks and the streetstyles in coming posts.
Have a great weekend!
